The beer style of the month for March 2022 is broad ranged and classic style we all know and love: British. Wait British!? British, as a style, has range and I am not understating that at all. There are so many styles that fall under the British category, that we are going to need a bulleted list for this one. According to the Brewer’s Association the ale styles that fall under the British category include:

- Scottish-Style Light Ale
- Scottish-Style Heavy Ale
- Scottish-Style Export Ale
- English-Style Summer Ale
- Classic English-Style Pale Ale
- British-Style India Pale Ale
- Strong Ale
- Old Ale
- English-Style Pale Mild Ale
- English-Style Dark Mild Ale
- English-Style Brown Ale
- Brown Porter
- Robust Porter
- Sweet Stout / Cream Stout
- Oatmeal Stout
- Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
- British-Style Imperial Stout
- British-Style Barley Wine Ale
Wow! That’s a lot! I personally consider many of these style to be delicious and would have a a hard time picking just one to enjoy. So, let’s say cheers to the British style and pick a few of these delicious beers! Cheers!
